About Sara

I'm Sara Chittleburgh and my passion is helping to improve the lives of horses and dogs through massage and manipulation. I'm a qualified Equine Body Worker and hold a Diploma in Animal Manual Therapy from the European School of Animal Osteopathy. I also have a Diploma in Therapeutic Massage and Deep Tissue for humans.

I am lucky to have been surrounded by animals throughout my life. I started riding at the age of five and have had a number of ponies and horses who have all taught me a lot and been a big influence on my life. I spent my childhood in the local Pony Club which gave me a great foundation and I trained as part of the BYRDS Central team, being a part of the inter-regional dressage team in Necarne, Ireland in 2006. I now produce horses and ponies of my own and for owners and can be seen competing at British Eventing, British Showjumping and British Dressage. Currently, I own Mitzi, who is competing in Foxhunter classes, and another young pony mare being produced for FEI eventing pony trials.

Practising manual therapy and massage alongside actively competing and training keeps me in touch with all the latest training techniques together with the physical, mental and emotional requirements of competing for both horse and rider.

Equally, if you and your equine friend relish in the pleasure of hacking or adventures of sponsored rides, he or she will still benefit from Manual Therapy and massage to be kept comfortable, physically healthy and performing at his or her best. The canine treatments I offer can help both working dogs and pets alike maintain their health and performance.

I am based in Banbury, North Oxfordshire but cover the Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire areas. For more information on appointments and prices please contact Sara at SJC Equine.
